Embrace pet insurance was created by Laura Bennett and Alex Krooglik in July 2003 after graduating from the Wharton MBA program.
Laura and Alex spent several challenging years in establishing Embrace pet insurance. With a number of "one step forward, and two steps back," with all of the experiences that were done, often led them to wonder if they would ever get Embrace pet health insurance up and running, they persevered and was able to finally laid the groundwork for Embrace.
The name 'Embrace' was chosen after pet parents who were surveyed, politely but firmly told them to come up with a name that reflects the emotional bond between a pet parent and their pet. Embrace was the obvious winner!
